Mr. Ennis is a Senior Advisor for Teneo Capital providing advisory services related to chemical plant construction and process engineering projects. Mr. Ennis focuses on commodity chemicals, oil refining and petrochemicals, ethylene and olefins, synthesis gas, hydrogen, ammonia and methanol, chlorine and chlor-alkali, fine chemicals, power generation, and gas processing.  

Mr. Ennis is a principal of EGT Enterprises, Inc which specializes in consulting, expert witness services, litigation support as well as the development of proprietary technology in the chemical, power and process industries. At EGT he provides assessments, feasibility studies, plant inspection, project development and management, as well as designing, building and operating chemical process research facilities. Projects have included plant inspections for state-of-the-art, safety, and environmental compliance; accident & explosion investigation and expert witness & litigation support; insurance claim support for property damage and business interruption valuations; power & hydrocarbon processing technology assessments; engineering contractor bid review; EPC contract review and analysis. Mr. Ennis has served as an expert witness on several matters, including deposition.

Relevant engagements include:


  • Evaluation of Lump Sum Turnkey Bids for an ethylene manufacturing complex on behalf of plant owners

  • Assessment of proprietary technology for carbon black manufacture

  • Assessment of piping failures in a high temperature chemical reaction furnace for an insurance company

  • Evaluation and assessment of alleged under-performance of an ethylene plant. Assisted attorneys in real-time depositions

  • Assessment and evaluation of a chlor-alkali plant process and equipment in India

  • Performed business interruption valuation for a fully integrated chlor-alkali complex affected by a hurricane

  • Provided engineering and design to investor group developing an oil refinery and petrochemical complex in Republic of Haiti

  • Provided business and engineering analysis of the economics of relocating an ammonia plant from the US to Africa

  • Provided valuation on damages related to operational issues pertaining to a biochemical laboratory

Mr. Ennis is a Licensed Professional Engineer (No. 39354 – Texas) and a former member of the Attorney Ethics Committee, Supreme Court of New Jersey (2007-2014). He has a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University.  

Prior to forming EGT Enterprises, Mr. Ennis served as a Technology Development Manager, Project Manager and Process Engineer with KBR Inc. (Kellogg Brown Root) for 22 years and later served as a Vice President of Technology Operations with ABB Lummus Global (now Chicago Bridge & Iron) for four years.
