Alan Tyrrell is a Managing Director with Teneo PSG and oversees the Teneo PSG corporate division which currently comprises the Public Affairs, Issues Management, Health, Technology, and Corporate Reputation practice areas.
As well as leading the development of the division, Mr. Tyrrell is one of Teneo PSG's lead practitioners in crisis communications and leads client assignments on transformational change, board level issues on governance, succession planning, M&A transactions, and leadership profiling. Mr. Tyrrell also works on corporate reputation campaigns for clients in the sectors of insurance, food, banking, retail and professional services, among others.
Prior to his role with Teneo PSG, Mr. Tyrrell held senior in-house communications roles with global financial services providers, helping them to improve their corporate reputation in Ireland. In these roles, Mr. Tyrrell advised Senior Leadership Teams on the strategic communications and reputation aspects regarding ongoing commercial objectives, employee engagement, M&A, industrial relations, organization change, media and stakeholder engagement, corporate responsibility and organisation culture.
Mr. Tyrrell holds a first class Masters in Strategic Management and has also completed training with the Irish Stock Exchange (Registered Representative programme) and the Irish Management Institute. Mr. Tyrrell is currently undertaking the Chartered Director programme with the Institute of Directors and has lectured at Masters of Journalism level on the topic of Corporate Communications.
Mr. Tyrrell has internal responsibility / accountability for division financial performance, talent attraction and development, marketing, new product development and overall agency reputation.
