Jon Mandell is a Senior Vice President with Teneo Consulting. Mr. Mandell brings with him a breadth of experience in many areas including customer experience, brand strategy, strategic transformation programs, and loyalty marketing to name a few.
Prior to joining Teneo, Mr. Mandell was SVP of Marketing and Customer Experience for the 1-800-Flowers.com family of brands, where he served in numerous senior roles including leading their omni-channel marketing and consumer loyalty platforms. In this role, Mr. Mandell was able to deliver triple-digit growth by expanding and enhancing the loyalty programs beyond points and free shipping into a holistic multi-brand customer experience aimed to increase retention and drive life time value. Additionally, Mr. Mandell built and led the company’s innovation team to become one of the earliest adopters in the space of conversational commerce with the first commerce bot on Facebook Messenger, first eCommerce skill on Amazon Alexa, and an AI powered gift concierge working alongside IBM’s Watson.
Prior to joining 1800Flowers, he was immersed in the NYC startup scene working as a co-founder, employee and advisor to several start-ups, including Angstro, which was acquired by Google.
Mr. Mandell has more than 15 years of experience working with start-ups to large publicly traded companies on operations, product, strategy, marketing, and business development, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He currently sits on the advisory board of SmartGift, and holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance & Accounting from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
